I am asked every day about my kids by people. Consequently, I proudly present my own little heathen fur balls. Please do not let any demur looks fool you.

Speedo

In loving memory of our Speedy, SpeedBump, Speedo. You left us as you lived your life, Speedyfied and it was the best 8 years of our lives. Rocky, Moose and Mom love you and miss you every day.


This is Speedo, the dog formely known as Prince. A client brought him back from Italy. Told her that was not the best idea having an Akita (as you Akita owners know). Speedo lasted a very brief time in his new American home. Since I was told he was a German Shepard I told her I would take him and it would be easy to find good parents to adopt him. Well, as you can see, he is not a German Shepard, he is a Terrier/Pom mix. I also found out that the name of "Prince" was highly inappropriate and within 15 minutes re-named him.

Rocky and Moose who are now 14 years young! I found them one day on my way to work. I was in a 7-11 and like the hawk ears that I have for animal cries, heard them. The entire litter of 9 puppies were thrown into a trash dumpster. Half of them did not have their eyes open yet. Some lived, other's I found homes for and Rocky and Moose decided they were staying with me.

The family picture nightmare! Bless the company that was able to put up with 2 hours of flying, squirming, butt turning furbags. I suggested a staple gun and duct tape might help but she had faith that at some point they would all hold still and not turn their butts to the camera.

This was also during the family photo session when my dear child was supposed to stand at the edge of the lake next to the rocks. It worked really well until he heard QUACK. Moose Duck Hunting, as if at 12 he can really catch one! We don't tell him otherwise.
Dillon or Dillweed
One of the problems running a rescue is sometimes you just can't find the perfect home. Dillon's sister was easy to place but I never found anyone good enough for Dillweed consequently after 47 applicants and almost 9 months of interviews, I just decided to keep him.
